Spool Calendar

Materials:

3 Large Spools, Wood or cardboard, 3 wooden dowels or pencils, Paper, Glue, Markers, Paint

Instructions:

Paint the spools. Then cut out paper strips to fit around each spool. Print the months on one strip, the numbers 1-3 on the second strip, and the numbers 0-9 on the third strip. Glue one strip to each spool. Cut out three more strips the same size as the first three. Cut out a window in each so that the month or number will show through. Glue the ends together over the first strips. For the base, use a piece of wood or cardboard, and paint. Mark off the three spools will go, and glue on the dowels in the centers. Then slide the spools over the dowels. Now, just turn your spools to the correct month and day!
