Materials:

Heavy construction paper, Glue, Scissors, Brass paper fastener

Instructions:

• To start a fanned-out message, cut two shapes from sturdy paper: a five-inch rectangular shape, one inch wide at one end and 2 1/2 inches at the other, and a three-inch wide heart. Then use these templates to trace and cut eight rectangles and eight hearts.

• Glue the hearts to the wide ends of the rectangles.

• Then write a letter on each heart ("I LOVE YOU") and punch a hole in the middle of the narrow end. Put the rectangles in order and fasten with a brass paper fastener.
